ZONE 7 HONOURS AIG VICTOR OLAIYA AS HE BOWS OUT OF SERVICE

 

With a distinguished career and professionalism, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Victor Olaiya psx(+) in charge of Zone 7 command officially bows out of service.

An honorary retirement ceremony was held to celebrate the distinct officer whose career spans over three decades and in his last assignment at the zone 7 command, AIG Olaiya has made himself useful with topmost professional touch and civility. 

The retirement ceremony which held at the Zone 7 Police Headquarters, Wuse Zone 3, brought together senior police officers across the zone, FCT and Niger state police commands, members of the Police Community Relations Committee, family members, friends, associates and other distinguished guests who came together in celebration of m the retiring AIG and honour his years of dedicated service to the nation.

AIG Olaiya, who was commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police, rose through the ranks and assumed the position of Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 7, where he provided leadership over the affairs of the Zone comprising the Federal Capital Territory and Niger State Police Commands.

Attendees in their goodwill messages after the citation of the astute retired officer shower encomium on the retiring officer, highlighting his leadership, experience, professionalism and commitment to the Nigeria Police Force.

In his remarks, the retiring AIG expressed profound appreciation to the Nigeria Police Force for the opportunity to serve his fatherland. He thanked the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, senior officers, colleagues, officers and men of the Force, as well as his family and friends, for their support throughout his career.

AIG Olaiya encouraged serving officers to remain committed to the ideals of professionalism, discipline, integrity and service, stressing the importance of maintaining public confidence in the Nigeria Police Force.

The atmosphere at the ceremony was marked by appreciation, nostalgia and camaraderie, as colleagues and associates reflected on the retiring AIG’s years of service and shared memories of his time in the Force.

High point of the event is the cutting of the cake with a vote of thanks, group photographs and a reception where guests continued the celebration in an atmosphere of friendship and goodwill.

As AIG Victor Olaiya exits active service, the Nigeria Police Force, Zone 7 Headquarters, celebrates a career defined by service to the country and wishes him a fulfilling retirement and continued success in his future endeavours.
