The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) wishes to inform the public that its maintenance crew will undertake a scheduled preventive maintenance on the Katampe/Apo 132kV Transmission Lines 1 & 2 on Saturday, 15th, and Sunday, 16th August 2026, from 9am to 5pm each day.
According to the management of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), the routine maintenance exercise is to enable TCN line engineers replace the Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) on Towers T120, T131, and T132 along the line route.
Consequently, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will be unable to off-take bulk power for onward distribution to customers in Asokoro, Garki 2, Lugbe, Airport, Barracks and surrounding communities during the maintenance period.
TCN however apologizes for the inconvenience this may cause electricity consumers in the affected areas.
