FG Appoints Provosts for Federal Colleges of Agriculture, Akure, Dadin Kowa, Kano

The federal government has Approved the appointment of Dr Folorunsho Rasheed Oloyede Federal College of Agriculture, Akure, Federal college of Agriculture and Produce Technology,Kano, Dr Salisu Salisu, Federal College of Houticulture Dadin kowa, Gombe, Dr. Umar Umar Abdullahi as the Substantive provosts of the aforementioned colleges.

Khadijat O. Ameen (ANIPR), Public Relations Officer To The Executive Secretary, ARCN, Abuja, Nigeria made the disclosure on Friday, 31st July, 2026.

According to her, the appointment approved  by the Honourable Minister of Agriculture and  food Security, Senator Abba Kyari came after a rigorous examination and interview conducted by the council.

Presenting the letter of appointment, the Executive Secretary, Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria, (ARCN), Dr. Adamu Abubakar Dabban Charge the new appointees to key into the food security agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu through making the colleges a citadel of knowledge. 

Dr. Dabban also charge them to be professional in their conduct and diligent in the discharge of their duties while having an ambitious agenda focused on improving governance, enhancing research capacity, strengthening stakeholder collaboration, promoting staff welfare, and advancing the National Agricultural Research system.
