Governor Eno Commends Nigeria Police Force For Its Dedication To Maintaiin Law, Order...As He Congratulates IGP Disu On Appointment

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has received the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor. Umo Enol at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, yesterday.

Governor Umo Eno during the visit formally congratulated IGP Disu on his appointment, expressing confidence in his leadership. The Governor further commended the Nigeria Police Force for its tireless dedication to maintaining law and order, noting that the efforts of the Force remain a cornerstone of national peace and stability. 

In his response, IGP Disu emphasized that a sustained partnership with state governments is indispensable to tackling modern security challenges. He reiterated the Force's commitment to enhancing its operational effectiveness through local collaborations, ensuring a safer environment for the citizens of Akwa Ibom and the nation at large.

Governor Umo was accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah; Dean of Commissioners and Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Frank Archibong; Commissioner for Internal Security, Gen. Koko Essien; Commissioner for Works and Fire Service, Prof. Eno Ibanga; Commissioner for Science and Digital Economy, Dr. Frank Ekpenyong; and the President General of the Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative, Engr. Uwem Okoko.
