The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, today, 4 December 2025, received the National Police Commissioner of the Royal Bahamas Police Force, Commissioner Shanta Emily Knowles, OM, on a courtesy visit at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance international policing cooperation.

According to CSP Benjamin Hundeyin in a statement, both leaders during the meeting held strategic discussions on deepening collaboration in key areas of modern law enforcement, including training and capacity development, intelligence gathering, security partnership frameworks, and improved border management strategies. The meeting reinforced the shared commitment of both institutions to combating transnational crimes and fostering stronger operational ties.

IGP Egbetokun expressed the Nigeria Police Force’s appreciation for the renewed cooperation, noting that the partnership presents significant opportunities for mutual benefit. He emphasized that the exchange of expertise, joint training initiatives, and collaborative security efforts will contribute immensely to strengthening policing and national security outcomes in both countries.
