The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation commiserates with the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Mallam Umar Namadi and the good people of Jigawa State as well as families of the victims over the unfortunate petrol tanker accident that occurred at Majiya town, Taura Local Government Area of the state, which claimed 100 of lives and dozens injured.
The Ministry in a press statement by its Deputy Director Information and Public Relations, Iliya Rhoda Ishaku said it is deeply saddened by the circumstance surrounding the tragic incident and prays that Allah grant Alijanna Firdaus for the souls of the departed and quick recovery for the injured.
The Ministry also prays that God grant the families of the victims the fortitude to bear the loss and that such traumatic incident never happens again in the State or anywhere in the country.
The Ministry however informed that it is liaising with all relevant stakeholders to address the Humanitarian crises occasioned by the devastating incident.
