APPROVAL FROM HUSBAND TO TRAVEL HAS BEEN DELETED FROM TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS FOR MARRIED WOMEN IN NIGERIA....NDLEA

The Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency, (NDLEA) says it has begun procedures for visa clearance as demanded by some countries in the world.

The Director, Media and Advocacy, NDLEA National Headquarters, Abuja, Femi Babafemi who disclosed the news via press statement in Abuja said the requirements for a married woman to being the approval of her husband is one of the items the agency has long dropped as not mandatory..

According to Babafemi, "The entire procedure for visa clearance issued by the NDLEA as required by some countries is currently undergoing review and the requirement for a married woman to present a letter of approval from her husband to travel is one of the items that the Agency has since jettisoned as a non-mandatory item on the list. 

He said the inclusion of that item abinitio arose following some ugly developments in some source countries.

He however assured members of the public that the item has been deleted from the list of requirements in the ongoing review exercise, which will be made public in the coming days.
