The Department of the State Services (DSS)through it's Spokesman, Peter Afunnaya PhD, has said Bello Bodejo is not with the service contrary to reports on the media that it arrested the Miyetti Allah President.
Afunanya said this in a short text message to our correspondent while denying the reports claiming that the DSS have effected the immediate arrest of the President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Alhaji Bello Bodejo, over the creation of a vigilante group in Nasarawa State.
The reports have said among others, that Alhaji Bodejo was arrested on Tuesday over his formation of unlawful Nomad’s Vigilante Group which the nation’s secret Police viewed as inimical to national security.
“The suspect was picked up by the Operatives of the service with the backup of the Military troops, at the Miyetti Allah’s Head Office, Tundun Maliya Cattle Market, Kilometre 22, Abuja-Keffi Expressway, Tundun-Wada, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State”, one of the reports said.
The Association is yet to issue official statement over the development
Reports however said Alhaji Bodejo urged the volunteer vigilantes to work in collaboration with the Police, Army, and other security agencies to ensure a more comprehensive approach to security across the 13 local councils of the state.
