...ASSURES RESIDENTS OF SAFETY
The Army Headquarters Garrison says it will be conducting a battle simulation exercise at 7 Guards Battalion Obstacle Course, Lungi Barracks, Maitama, Abuja.
The battle simulation exercise according to the Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Lieutenant Njideka Agwu in a press statement made available to TeetvNews is Part of activities scheduled for the Inter Formation Combat Platoon Obstacle Crossing Competition 2023 which starts from Tuesday 24 October to Wednesday 25 October 2023.
Lieutenant Agwu said the exercise will involve real time battle field simulations and activities which would herald large battle sounds that would be heard during the exercise as is the characteristics of training exercises.
The Nigerians Army however notify members FCT residents who reside around Maitama, Asokoro, A.Y.A and the environs not to panic but go about their normal activities as the battle sounds would not raise any security concern.
The Army Headquarters Garrison also assured the public that it has put all necessary safety measures in place ahead of the Exercise.
